A BIT ABOUT MEResearch has taken me to some amazing places. I’ve spent months melting in the African savannah, weeks handling rotten fish soup for hungry butterflies, and days macheting through thick Amazonian rainforest. Though I love the challenge and am overly excited about the science, these expeditions also inspire me as an artist. I am encouraged to create meaningful pieces and communicate what I’ve learnt to a wider audience than the academics of my field. The paintbrush has always been my key to a world of escape, imagination and colour. However, it wasn’t until training at London Fine Art Studios that I sharpened my practice and gained confidence to use my art to communicate an important conservation message. |
